If you have a desire to make music, I will help you develop your inner musician.

I enjoy all styles of music from classical to contemporary, and my years of teaching experience will inspire your creativity, open your awareness and encourage you to focus on your unique talents.

All students are asked to buy their own vocal, piano or theory books which can range in price between $7.00-$25.00. Some singing books come with CD accompaniments which can be used at home for rehearsing.
Lessons can be taken in person or online.
In person studio lessons are held in Berkeley, CA.

Voice

  • Singing lessons start with vocal warm-ups to develop & hone your voice, practice ease of breath and learn efficient muscle coordination. Then we use those skills on the music we choose together.
  • Youth voice lessons are organized into 30% vocal technique, 10% ear training and sight-singing, followed by 60% working on songs.

Piano

  • Along with building a firm foundation in note reading  and technique, I enhance the lesson with ear training and sight reading music.
  • Training the brain for fine coordination and reading music, I give students the tools they need to become well rounded, independent musicians.

Recitals

Recitals give students a practical goal to work towards and an opportunity to show what they've learned. It is important for students to have a safe encouraging place to perform.

There are at least two opportunities per year for students to prepare for and present at a recital.
